　　1. all along 一直，在整個(gè)期間。如：

　　I thought all along that he would win. 我一直認(rèn)為他會(huì)贏。

　　We know all along that he is going to make it. 我們始終認(rèn)為他是會(huì)成功的。

　　2. all over 到處，各處，全身。如：

　　We looked all over for the watch. 我們到處找過(guò)那塊表。

　　She was like her mother all over. 她處處像她媽媽。

　　I was aching all over after the match. 比賽后我全身都痛。

　　He painted the wall green all over. 他把墻全漆成綠色。

　　3. in all

　　(1) 一共，合計(jì)。如：

　　There are 100 people in all. 一共有100人。

　　That’s $15 in all. 一共15美元。

　　(2) 總之，簡(jiǎn)言之。如：

　　In all, the book is worth reading. 總之，這本書值得一讀。

　　4. at all

　　(1) 用于否定句，意為：根本不、一點(diǎn)也不。如：

　　It wasn’t difficult at all. 這一點(diǎn)也不難。

　　There was nothing to eat at all. 根本沒(méi)什么可吃的。

　　注：在否定句中，at all 可位于句末，也可跟在否定詞后。如：

　　He isn’t tired at all. / He’s not at all tired. 他一點(diǎn)也不累。

　　另外，在口語(yǔ)中單獨(dú)說(shuō) not at all, 可用來(lái)回答感謝或道歉。如：

　　A：Thank you very much. 多謝你了。

　　B：Not at all. 不客氣。

　　A：I’m sorry to keep you waiting. 對(duì)不起，讓你久等了。

　　B：Oh, not at all. 噢，沒(méi)關(guān)系。

　　(2) 用于疑問(wèn)句，意為：到底、究竟、難道不。如：

　　Are you at all worried about it? 你難道對(duì)此不擔(dān)心嗎?

　　Have you read any of the report at all? 那份報(bào)告你到底有沒(méi)有讀一點(diǎn)?

　　(3) 用于條件句(用來(lái)加強(qiáng)if的語(yǔ)氣)，意為：假若、既然、即使、反正。如：

　　If you do it at all, do it well. 既然要做，就把它做好。

　　(4) 用于肯定句(較少見)，意為：不管怎樣、竟然。如：

　　I was surprised at his coming at all. 我很奇怪，他竟然來(lái)了。
