(1)作動詞,意為"工作",后接賓語需加介詞.

I work in a hospital.

He works in a company.

My sister works in the TV station as a reporter.

(2)作名詞,不可數(shù)名詞,意為"工作",與job同義,但有區(qū)別:

job是可數(shù)名詞,指具體的某項(xiàng)工作,多雇傭的,招聘的,有報(bào)酬的工作,而work是不可數(shù)名詞,主要指體力和腦力勞動,表示一種抽象的概念.

It's a good job.

I'm busy today. I have a lot of work to do.

作動詞,意為"給".構(gòu)成詞組

give sb sth = give sth to sb 意為"給某人某物"

Please give me a bottle of milk to me.

→ Please give a bottle of milk to me.

I gave many books to him

→I gave him many books.

當(dāng)give sb sth句型中sth為代詞時(shí),只能用后一種結(jié)構(gòu):

give sth to sb,簡記口訣:名詞放兩邊,代詞放中間.

(誤) Please give me it.

(正) Please give it to me.

get

作動詞,意為"得到,收到,經(jīng)歷". get sth from sb.意為"從某人那里得到某物".

He got a letter from his wife.

I want to get a present from my parents.

get可構(gòu)成以下詞組:

get up起床 get off下車

get to到達(dá) get on上車

get back回來 get sth back取回某物

get away離開 get sth out of把…從…取出來

get into進(jìn)入 get ready for為…準(zhǔn)備好
